A watch a TV, despite an impulse to quit and sleep and thus wake up early. Learned to day to practice thist simple principle: anything that happens to you, you did to yourself most of the times. So, ask yourself how you can get yourself out of that situation. Another simple principle that I extensively practiced is just say what has occurred to you. So and so has occurred to me. And then later when you have a chance jus mindmap it or leave it alone. That is sufficient.
