Something occurs to you, so and so is. Where did this information came from? That is how Intuition works, in part at least. It just occurs to you. Say so and so has occurred to me, no less and no more. Doing so acts like mirror to your head. You are reflecting on your thoughts.
I learned an opponent that I have to wrestle with: habit.
Key attribute of habit is automaticity: it happens without our awareness, context triggers, response happens. You can, however, do what you think is right after you became aware.
You can, also, condition yourself, using positive and negative reinforcement to develop better habits.
Habits are persistent, be persistant to change them or let them change you. Habits are your own creatures: they are created by what you have done repeatedly in the past. So, be kind to yourself as you form new habits.
