Seven Habits and their habituation

Exertion or extending efforts to get work done despite resistance appears to be the habit of all effective people share, efforts. 

Report
I have exerted mysel sometimes, and not other times. They appear to have been equal, if not the idle time may have been more.

Steven Covey calls this proactivity. 
This is one of the habits that I will report about daily until we run out of remaining days. 

Another one is having an end in mind and a plan to reach the end and then implementing the plan on the basis of first thing first. 


Report 
Exertion time was result of having an end in mind,  and commitment to reach that end, the idle time was its opposite.

The fourth one is focusing on mutualy desired ends and nothing else. This is what Covey calls win-win and non.

Reports 

There were cases of this in various fields, but I generally remained idle.


The fifth one is understand people first and then make them understand you. If you do, you may note something new coming out from this. Hang on to that. 

I practiced this. Being honest is difficult, but it is the best policy, as they say. 

That is what Covey calls Synergy, others call it synthesis resulting from thesis and antithesis. 

Being honest about understanding others and making them understand you, leads. In some cases, to a breakthrough or something new.

Report. Yes, there was something new, as a result of being honest.

The seventh habit is to renew, rest, learn, meditate or pray or both, exercise, eat and drink well and so o an so forth. 

Report 
In the renewal department, I have done an excellent job. 

Commitment is essential aspect of progress. I have not committed yet to a number of habits to develop. I shall think of it today and make up my mind tomorrow. 

Since I am editing books now it may be something related to an excellent editing to produce fine books.

Calm Pond, 7th day.

I noted there is state of mind where the mind becomes, metaphorically speaking, a calm pond, where one can see things very clearly. If disturbance comes in, In the form of say something falling on it, then one loses clear seeing for while. But if one waits, soon the water calms down and then one is able to see things clearly again. 

One may habituate muddling the pond. The counter habit ought to be developed In this case, that of calming the bond to assure clear seeing. 

If one's mind is calm pond, again metaphorically speaking, one is able to see things very clearly. In this state, I noted, one is able to do a work that requires less editing and generally a work of high quality. 


Major portion of writer's work consists that of calming the pond. 

Sleep, If needed, is one of the ways to calm the bond. I have rested very well, sleeping close to 11 hours.

The 6th of habit development

I have not exerted myself today. I have not planned anything, but I have spent a lot of time running errands and did some necessary administrative work. 

I will use coming days to practice a lot of habits and I shall report them. 

I generally get good ideas to write, but I don't write them. I sometimes get good business opportunities but I don't respond to them on timely fashion. 

So, I found a way to seize opportunities. I verbally rehearse what I will do, and do so if  opportunities arise. Opportunities then come, while plans are in place.

Habituation in 21 days

I write this work, I noted, when the deadline is close or past it. No one asks for the money whose conditions is stated in the attached note. The same applies to life. A lot of things are asked people to take it. They don't and they don't get it. 

I am now convinced that one has to empty himself or herself of pressures on his body or reduce them to do a quality work. A number of ways can be employed to achieve this end, among them is meditation. 

I have slept close to 7 hours and did not need more. 


I will update this blog, stating clearly what kind of report is expected daily and what  are the losses that I will incur if I don't write the report. I will also add the time zone In the note and add contacts to make it easy for people to claim the prize. .

The fourth day and habits

Editing Habit. 
I learned how to edit yesterday, at long last, and how to write well too: slowly, one word at a time, reading out loud in front of real or imagined audience, to secure feedback. 

Sleep habit
Due to some schedule changes,  I have slept only 5 hours and the rest I was  between sleep an awake, though I was on the bed, close to 7 hours. 

Clear goals and plans
I had goals and plans, but they were not sufficiently rehearsed to implement them.

Exertion time 

How long have you exerted yourself to get work done. Five hours out of 8 hour time that I had.

Developing Habits for 21 days

I have slept 7 hours. During last one-third of the day, I was not able to meditate. I made repeated attempts, but all of them ended up in falling sleep. 

I am editing a book. I have spent five hours or so editing the book. I have not exerted again and again like I did in the previous days, after five hours.

I shall develop the habit of doing an editing work for 9 hours, or more until the books are finished.

I have not exercised for 30 minutes, but I did exercise for 15 minutes.

Habit development.

Meditation before sleep helps you sleep well without interruptions. An observation.

When you no longer desire something, it stops bothering you. Desire links you to the object of desire, desirelessness disconnects you from it, for which reason people desire desirelessness.

Sleep habit
I have managed to sleep 7.5 hours; meditated close to 40 minutes and then slept 30 minutes during break from work. Totaling 8 hours, despite this, attempts to meditate  in the later part of the day persistanty led to sleep. I have noticed the same in the past. The solution, I need more hours of sleep during my off days. So that I can be awake and productive for 16 hours a day. 

I have also  learned today to let things rise and disappear. This will help you understand whatever that is rising and falling. The principle applies to what is happening in your head as well as what is happening around you. Observe. This will help you make intelligent responses. 

I have meditated before I started editing, even though I did not remember to do so in the earlier part of the day. I have also faced the problem of sleep discussed above when I attempted to meditate. 





Twenty one days of habit making

For The next 21 days I will be working on the following habits; first, I noted that I tend to sleep when I am working and show less inclinations to sleep when I plan to sleep. So, the first habit is to ensure that I sleep when I plan to sleep and work when I plan to work. 

Update. The first day, I have slept like 6-7 hours, tomorrow, I will be very clear about the exact hours that I have slept,  and then spent the rest of the time meditating. The next day, I felt sleepy, but I did not sleep, I just continue to work despite a mild desire to sleep. I think hunger prevents sleep, one, therefore, has to eat  before one  sleeps again. 

I will also limit caffeine and if not drink a lot of water. 

I am finishing couple of books.  I noted that I do my best writing and editing after meditation session. So, I will also report on the formation of this habit. Yesterday, I did not do a good job, several attempts have been made. 

Other habits to monitor include speaking on what is happening now, having clear goals and perusing them and so on.

Not seeing from other perspectives

I generally don't know what I am doing to others, but something In me tells me so and so is doing this to you. Accepting this assumption is sure way to make opponents. This gets out of hand when others assume the same thing, you are doing to them and act on it. 

The solution is to observe yourself. You can learn from your activities which assumptions are operative.

There is only three culprits. Humanity have lived long enough to know them. The cock, power, I am better than any body else and no body can be better than me, any one who does, I will show him or her the truth, as I conceive it. The solution to this is find an area of work that you can do better than others and do it. This is a power.


The primary driver of power is desire, we desire to use power to satisfy our needs and aspirations. Differential power entails differential availability of resources. The solution to this is to focus on mutual desire and give up the rest.

The third factor is causally linked to the first  factor. Differential power itself is a cause of aggression. Noticing someone is more powerful than you, immediately inclines you to remove the difference, hence aggression.

It must not be so. You can also increase your power by developing, for instance,  your talent. This is good for you and for society. Healthy competition is good. 

So, develop your talent, be present on now, that is where everything happens. Focus on mutual aspirations, win-win,  and give up the rest and be tough on it,
In the sense stated, mutually aspired and non. Your talk will be clear and shall leave no space for ambiguities or misunderstanding for that matter.

The highest good and how to attain it in outline

Aristotle says pleasure, that which we see all organic life pursues and its opposite shunned, is unimpeded natural activity.

Let us assume one enjoys helping people identify what they are talented for and then use it to make a living out of it. 

Let us assume also this is natural for him in the sense that he never tires from doing it and he does it without much efforts. If he can succeed in removing all impediments that impede the performance of his work, then he will engage in an unimpeded natural activity, the highest good, or the good, that which all aim for. 

I already made money out of my hobby, that is your move. The question then is how? 

This is how. You will either find this or you will borrow from others. In either case, when you implement it, you will notice justifications in your head that will tell you this cannot be done, note them them, and theoretically or in your head show how you overcome them and actually overcome them again and again until this becomes a habit. 

One of the ways that will allow you to make money out of your hobby or rather the only way is acting on now, responding to what is happening now, for that is where things happen. Master this. 

For instance, when you are talking to a woman, a potential mate, focus on what is happening now, especially what her body language is saying now, what you are feeling or thinking about and so on and so forth and nothing else.

Public Platforms


Public stages evokes my best. This would suggest that I ought to pursue some sort of public stage career, such as public speaking or movies or things of that nature. Now, I am working on a book on meditation, so I will finish this book before June 30th, as professionally as possible, and then engage in public talk talk, by starting with YouTube.

Some people are so focused on tomorrow, they miss now. Others are their opposite. The middle path is the the best: now and tomorrow.

When that becomes a habit, you are free: you have determined your fate, still chance that can work against you, but there is nothing to worry about because you have done your best and now it is up to to the universe to do the rest.





Each one has guide within; it is matter of listening tothat guide and you will just make it again and again.

How ENFP Best Reaches a Goal

There are times when you are able to do superb job, do your job at this time, not when you will do a mediocre job.

A person for instance of ENFP personality tends to work on bursts of energy; recognizing this fact will allow him to generate energy first and then use it to get work done and stop working when he has least energy to do so.

It will be clear by now, at least to those of you who were following my meditation blog, that meditation is one way to generate energy.

An ENFP personality is intuition wise extraverted, meaning it is able to identify possibilities given needs and aspirations. Intuition competes with sensation. For such personalty will do well by limiting the use of the senses to allow intuition to operate, so as to identify possibilities, for instances, if you are in the market place, who wants what? Feeling will give you how the deal feels like. If one is able to do this, people say one has learned to let it happen.

By now one has intuitively felt a deal,
then all that is left to discuss is how to strike this deal in real time. One has confidence at this time, because he has an insight information: turning a possibility into reality.

The phrase it feels like combines the insights of intuition and feeling. One can now start a discussion to arrive at conclusions: it is so or not so. The phrase it is so combines the insights of sensation and thought, a conceptual fact, thereby completing the two wheels of cognition, abstract and concrete, inside and out, options and decision and feeling and thought.

It is also enlightening, in the sense of extinguishing the egos of delusion and ignorance, to learn that one can rely his or her native instruments to perceive and act with assurance, not that he has the truth, but a thesis to test.




Put yourself in contexts that evoke your best

I spoke to small friends on a topic that interested them. I was amazed on how my best came out. I became decisive because I knew immediately the effects of what I was saying or doing.

I was walking when I was doing this and the day was beautiful too around this area.

It occurred to me to take this as my working condition, for they say put yourself in contexts that evoke your best.

Ideas to practice to hit the middle road

Four factor meditation and practice. If one is introverted, one generally likes or is inclined unless pressured to remain within himself or herself. One, therefore, ought to go outside of himself or herself by thinking and acting outside of himself or herself. This will allow him or her to hit the middle road or path.

The same applies to thinking and feeling, to probing for options and judgement and to intuition and sensation.

For INFP person this is going to be his motto: I force myself to stay outside of myself when it comes to thought and action, speak concretely as possible, make choices and think more often on what intuitively felt to be the case for clarification purposes. This ought to be written in your door, if you happen to think you are an INFP, for memory purposes.

The same applies to other types. Identify your opposites and work towards them, to hit the golden mean. This adds moderation to your life.



One trick to sleep full 8 hours

One way to sleep 8 hours a day or night, depending your schedule is to remain motionless after you wake up. This generally happens when one cycle of sleep ends another one starts. Some interruptions may interfere with smooth move from one cycle to another.

This means no thoughts or feelings for that matter, that is if you remain motionless. Soon, you will get back to sleep if you really want to do so, otherwise you will rest.

Don't be fooled by thoughts and emotions that run like stories or come and go. Fascinating thoughts: remain a tree. Why? you will have 16 hours to do a fascinating work.

And then get to work, remain patient until the task is finished.

Practice this until it becomes a habit. Many successful people say this has allowed us to succeed again and again.

Do you have style?


A woman in a dream asked me if I have style, while getting out of a college in Minneapolis. I said yes, I wrote about it. Later I noted that I really don’t have style. This style question becomes acute if one notes that we act all the time first without being aware of it, and then afterward, we become aware of it. Psychologists say most of human behavior is automated. So, style is operative.
Style, it appears, will allow you to mold the first action that happens, so as to win effortlessly.

Assume others up to some good, but prepare for the worst case scenario

All human activities aim at some good, Aristotle says in the first book of Nicomachean ethics, in its first chapter and its first line. This is some great truth.

If so, by assuming all aim at some good, including the evil you have leverage against them: how does that take you to that good you are aiming at? Not doing so, deprives you from that leverage on the evil.

Some people say don't assume an evil aims at some good because that is not so, they believe. They fail to note that assuming so enables you to deal with evil more effectively because you now have a way to induce conflict within the evil.

It really is. The benefits of such assumption is too many to count, but prepare for the worst case scenario not because of absence of good assumption but because of incorrect path.


This also helps you avoid incorrect assumption, which you may later regret doing so.


Paying attention to details balances paying attention to a bigger picture. It also commits to you to the principle of now: do this now or do that now and so on. This soon takes a momentum towards a bigger picture. You better have a goal to reach.

Being aware of your thoughts and emotions would allow youto learn what helps you achieve your goals and what not. So, just note them, Iam feeling now so and so. I am thinking about so and so. If you have time, takepen and paper and then note them in mindmapping fashion, read the book of Tony Buzan on the subject of mindmap. You will learn a lot andpossibly bloom.
