Life is trail and revelation

We continue the discussion of how C identified his final and short term ends and acquired some of these and is now working for more.

C sometimes sees people having challenges he himself had before even though he had now a way to solve them. When this happens, he gives his contacts to these people and offers his services to them, free of charge. If people think this helps, that is when affordable charge starts.

How this is done is detailed in his site.

Life is a test, you are asked questions, very often with limited period of time and even with limited resources, and then you are asked to answer, followed by rewards or punishment, depending on how you performed. The supposition is that you have what it takes to answer them.

To succeed in tests, test yourself very often, so that you may succeed most of the times, if not all the time.

C uses Projection to learn his Unconscious

C tends to project his own state and activities to others, so that he accuses them of doing that which he is doing. He uses projection, known psychological instrument, to know what is going on within himself. He says everything about people, and then notices that is what he is doing in his head at least.

One of the functions of the unconscious, that which we are not aware of, is to handle automated activities-habits. It pays attention to what we do repeatedly and then it does more of it, for better or for worse. It is for this reason why one ought to be careful with what he or she does repeatedly.

Preliminary strategies that allowed C to earn a living from his Talent.


For Intuition to be useful in concrete situations, it ought to be translated as such.

Non-decisive people who tend to ruminate ought to choose wisely and then do as they have chosen. Let them practice this until it becomes a habit.

The opposite people ought to, also, practice the opposite, set up a time before which they cannot make decisions to give themselves enough time to decide wisely.

Reluctance and haste are two ineffective approaches to decisionmaking processes.

The same applies also to people who like to stay in their heads, they ought to get out of themselves, and outgoing people also ought to go in themselves, to strike a balance.

The same applies also to feeling people; they ought to think, and thinking people ought to feel, again,to strike a balance.

One of the works C does is to help people strike such balance, by first noting the operative inclination,as indicated by the sorter in which he is qualified to administer, and then move people towards the opposite direction to balance. This then is one of his general strategies of of making a living out of his talent.

How C found strategic ideas and implemented them?

One of the tools that have helped C come up with general strategies,having already secured a final end, is noting strategic ideas when he gets them. Usually ideas come in less than a second and then they pass away for good.

Another factor is noting that strategic ideas and modes of their implementation, tactics, are procured while meditating, as suggested in the meditation blog, linked below[1], or walking.

Only these two conditions, as far as I know, allow one to sufficiently plan well. Other ways may exist but they did not work for me.

Finally, implementing ideas when the time is proper is really it. Successful people enter the door when the door is open or they shape the iron when it is hot. They don’t enter doors when they are closed nor shape metals when they are cold, doable but not easy.

C has figured out his Talent.


I figured out what the talent of C is: meditation and reflection on meditation to attain the wisdom needed to identify goals and attain them. The second talent of C is to advocate and champion for peace, protection of human rights and liberty.  The question left is how to make a living out of them? The final end of C has been identified. The work left now is mainly of strategy, tactics and provisions needed to meet the end. I have already identified this before, I forgot it. For which reason written mission and plans to attain ends on specific deadline is necessary to overcome forgetfulness and other obstacles. Systems that holds accountable to the successful completion of tasks ought to also be put in place. I shall put them in place.

Good Qualities Follow Exertion of Efforts

Efforts appears to be what good qualities follow. C has learned this at deeper level. He is still working on production of various business documents and promotion materials.

Efforts, that is sustained exertion when there is resistance to exert , are also extended to sleep on schedule, to furnish sufficient food provisions and prepare them and to remain clean and organized.

More efforts are also extended to do what is necessary and leave the rest alone.

How C has profited from his Talent?

C, being in the process of setting up a business plan, has learned that webcams that have capabilities to record conversations of multiple people in different places, costs as little as $30 or no more than $ 70. Before next Saturday, C will decide to buy one and then actually buy one to start work, or he may choose not to and then use the ones that he has now, if they prove to be sufficient.

He also learned how to use Skype but not the other one, tomorrow, he will report this: I have mastered nimbuzz.


C will also report tomorrow on the best way to create logo for his business to be used for promotion purposes.

How C was helped to run profitable Business

The assignment for C to day is to learn how to use skype, nimbuzz and other widely used video calling tools to help him open as many channels of communication as possible with his potential clients.

On top of that C will also report tomorrow on how he can get webcam that can be used not only to record video conference but also to recode such conferences and post them online such as on youtube, for instance, and elsewhere.

The Four Factor Model and Success

We have already identified one of the final ends of C: identify what his talent or talents are and then develop them to the extent they are able to allow him to earn a living through them.

Our general approach is to assume the obtainment of this final end and then ask how C has achieved this monumental task. If we can answer that question, then we have a general plan of action, or strategy, that can help C achieve his final end.

We now allocate provisions, such as time, good rest, nutritious food, exercise and emptied body-mind. We also found tactical plans of action, short term plans, to implement the strategic plan, that is the general plan.

Think of our approach as two way path, from the end to where we are and back to the end.

Overall we have four factors at work, final end, strategy, tactics and provisions or logistics : final end, evidently this is what we are aiming for, strategy, that is back from the final end to where we are, and then tactics, back to the final end, starting from where we are. Provisions are availed to both ways and to the identification of the final end.

Let us assume C has found some of his talent, he is intuitive. He just knows something without knowing how he came to know it. He knows so and so Is happening now.

Intuition, type experts say, is perceptual tool, that is information gathering tool and understanding, just as senses are information gathering tool and understanding.

The most radical thesis propounded is that the two are different, they compete for the job, information gathering and understanding, so that one prefers one or the other and as a result one becomes better at it because of usage and enjoyment. If one enjoys using intuition, for instance, then one will use more often than not and thus become better at it in proportion to usage.

One may even consciously develop his talent by reflecting on its usage or practice and thus design better practice to be become even better at its use, in view of earning a living, for instance, and more.

Intuition is of universals not of details

When you intuitively apprehend something you do It universally, or at least some do it this way. In the presence of three men, a woman might sense attraction to one of them, but she does not know which one, she will probably guess, but that is a guess. Action on experimentation, therefore, would require experimentation and caution.

If intuition operates outside awareness, then introduction of intuitive information into awareness would be perceived as an introduction of an outside information. In some cases, this is all we need to solve a particular challenge. It represents a paradigmatic shift.

Causes of Success

The causes of success. Have definite goal, this is what you need or want. Fix this. Now, assume you got it, and then focus on how you got it. You will find a way. This is your strategy, write it down. Also find specific ways you can take that path towards the needed or the desired end. These are your tactics, write them down and put them to work to get what you want or desire. You need persistence to succeed, that is why the end has to be something you need or deeply desire, to persist. Starting from today, all my work will imply the presence of these principles at work, or I will not do a work.

Continuity Effect or Habit


If I don't do a work today, then I tend not to do it next day. On the other hand, if I work today, then it is relatively easy to work tomorrow. Let us call this continuity effect.

 This becomes even more pronounced when I do something on the same time every day; many people, including me, have the habit of taking bath before they leave their homes in the morning; this finally becomes a habit. They cannot skip it.

Now, if you want to make something a habit, by implication reap its benefits on constant basis, do it on habitual basis, that is to say, do it on the same time every day.



C could benefit from this by doing the same thing at the same time every day.

I also noticed when my mind is empty of pressures, I am able to create a work of great value. So, C could also benefit from this an do his work after emptying his mind and body. It my take sometime, but it is worth it .

C and his Talent and its Use.


Some people are ears. They understand things when theyhear them. They also understand themselves when they hear themselves. C is one of them. C, therefore, is an ear.

It behooves him to use his talent and by implication perfect it through repeated use, after all people say practice practice makes people perfect.

He may, for instance, record books that he wants to study and then listen to them. He may even become more adventurous and raise, as he records the book, all kinds of questions, objections and challenges that he thinks are proper to the occasion. Some of these questions may be answered by going back to the book. Good questions lead to good answers.

C has trouble makings decisions, and therefore prefers to postpone rather than make some, but when he hears himself, it becomese easier to make decisions. Let him then use his ears to make decision. 

Let him master the art of weekly planning and its implementation.This is a crucial factor in generating revenues from his talent.

 

Let C use his talent and shine. Let him, we may add,become perfect at something, using his ears, perhaps he may learn from others,auditory experts, and eventually teach this art to others so that they may usetheir ears to excel. Let him become an auditory expert, for instance.

Well, we have not yet answered the question regarding howC managed to generate $1500 per month from using his talent, including hisears.

Now, C has no trouble figuring out what some of histalent are, but he has trouble using them until they are perfected enough to allowhim to earn a living from using them or to use to reach his desireddestinations.

We give him five days, until the 17th of thismonth, March, 2013, to come up with a plan of action that will employ some ofhis talents in view of generating the expect revenue before the end of thismonth, march 31st, 2013.

If he comes up with a plan of action and implement it,then that is great. We will know he did this because we will publish his planof action and its implementation on here on March 31st, 2013. Ofcourse, the plan of action is due on five days from now, as stated above.

Are you Intelligent or Dumb? If the former, Please Show Me or Make meSense it.


Intuition, according to a definition offered by ancients, suchas Faribi, and Avicina, or Ibn Sina, and modern scholars too, such as Gladwell,  is awareness or of something without being aware how one came to be aware of it, or thinking without thinking.

Modern personality type indicators or sorters say intuition is perceptual mechanism, a mechanism used to gather information, not a mechanism to judge.

Feeling and thinking are instrument of judjment, not of perception.
Intuition is opposed to senses, another more familiar data gathering tool.

Twenty five percept of the population is believed to intuit as opposed to sense. This is a percentage cited by Keirsey in his book,Please Understand me II, and others cite as much as 35% of the population. Its origin is unknown to me at this time.


Intuition is abstract phenomena as such, it is like intellect.

So, if you ask people are you intelligent? they will say yes or out of humility no, but they may not accept if you tell them you are dumb or less intelligent.

Needless to say, they will take that as an insult. But if you tell them show me your intelligence, or allow me to sense it, they will not succeed in making you sense intellect or intelligence.

Avicenna’s face, in above picture, for instance, appears to be familiar, yet it is hard to characterize what it is. Intuition is like that to some, we are familiar with it, but we are unable to sense it, that is say what it is in concrete terms.

If so, intuition is intellect or at least it appears to belong to such class as of intellect. It is sort of things we easily assent to their existence, but are unable to sense it, but things that suggest their existence are abound.

Ask not,then, its sensory character, but rather its signs, sort of things that suggest its existence.
Intuition or thinking without thinking is essentially the first two seconds or even much less of any interactions, the data needed for decisionmaking is available, more or less data may be needed to render verdict, but you have a starting point to progress from.

A case in point that comes to mind is knowing that I ought to not visit this site or that site in the first few seconds. If I am able to forego the first sites, then It is easy for me to forego many others and thus remain productive. If I don't, then it is harder to forego others, and by implication I become less productive. This example shows a good or bad of use intuition.

Intuition being perceptual phenomena it just offers more information regarding what to do while on the Internet. You need judging instrument to make good use of your time relative to your needs and aspirations.

Generally speaking rewards and punishments work for me. I will do this task in 20 minutes, or I will lose, say, $5 dollars. If I lose the money, I give it to a homeless person.

Absence of these counter perceptual mechanisms, one performs unnecessary work relative to a relevant goals.

People who use their intuition or their senses more so than their thinking or feeling, are said to be perceivers, according to Myers and Briggs typology of personalities, people who are inclined to be probe options rather than render a verdict. Tasks are started but never finished, hence success remains elusive. To achieve any worthwhile project, one ought to use his or he judging or scheduling inclination to schedule essential tasks and limit the time needed to get them done, as the author of 4-Hour Workweek recommends.

A perceiver, therefore, ought to not sit for work without having essential tasks to be completed and their allotted time.

Think Without Thinking, the Paradox of Intuition

You may also improve how the intuitive system works through studies, research, experimentation and practice.

If someone is intuitive, that is if he is sort of people who think without thinking, to use the term of Gladwell, the author of Blink, the Power of Thinking without Thinking, then one ought to invest in learning about intuition, by researching, writting about it, using it too and so on.

Conditions that Foster a Production of Quality Work

Number of conditions ought to obtain for someone to do large quality work in a day. Among these is good sleep, that is 8 hours of sleep, plenty of nutritious food, walking and emptied bodymind, through meditation and other ways.

If I can abstain from nonsense activities, such as surfing for no reason or talking for the sake of talking and so on, less meditation would be required to do a quality work. Doing so gives me confidence and not doing so, doubt. The former is attractive, the latter is not.

I produce, sometimes, good quality work because I manage to overcome inertia, I collect notes when I note them and then I publish them after editing them. I work slowly rather than quickly, thus I use more time but I produce quality work.

Modern, as well as ancient,  people who studied people, say  they differ on what they prefer to focus. Some like to focus on abstract stuff, such as ideas, dreams, mythologies, theoretical stuff and so on. Others like to focus on concrete stuff, such as sports, commerce, artworks, money and so on.

Words used to capture this great division is sensation and intuition.

When you know something intuitively, you know that thing without knowing reasons as why it is so. In this view intuition is not knowledge, for knowledge is the knowledge of why, you know something, when you know what causes Y to do X, or at least you have an idea of the relevant causes.

Intuution appears to offer a hypothesis to test. It is not judging function, according to the studies and research of Myers and Briggs, and others, but data gathering tool. It is thoughts and emotions that accompany the data that render verdict.

Some people say intuition is end result of complex computation, see Blink: the power of thinking without thinking, you are given a result but not how it was worked out.

It is like student who gives the teacher an answer, but not how he arrived it. The teacher says ok you got the answer, but I need to see the steps, well the answer is always no in this game.

This is a source of problem for many intuitive types because they demand steps, rather than entertaining the thesis to see if they can find an evidence for it.


Intuition is resource for intuitive types, just as senses are for sensing types.

The Art of Getting Work Done

Another way in which work is done is to say I will do this work before this time or I will lose such fixed amount of money.

The lost money ought to be given to non-related but deserving people, homeless people will do.

I know discuss about how C has found a work that he is most suited to do. I assume he did it and subsequently earned a living from it, using some if not all the talents enumerated in the last post.

C believes that he is most suited to meditate and teach others how to do the same because of psychological tests he took and prolonged reflections on the matter as well as persistence attractions incline him to believe so.

C believes meditation can solve some of the world's most vexing problems. He thus wishes to master meditations techniques and philosophies and subsequently teach to live. Meditation can be seen as an instrument of refreshment or a tool of reseting one's system when it is not working well, that is starting fresh.


This will take time, he has another strategy to earn.

Use his temperament knowledge and certifications to earn a living by helping others benefit from the knowledge of their temperament to earn living and live well.

In the following lines, I will note how he has managed to earn a living from temperamental coaching. This is going to be his general plan of action: strategy. I will then talk about his short term plan of action, tactics, and allocation of resource, logistics, such as time and energy, for its implementation.

Strategy serves telos, final end. I will then have to find it first.

The final end of temperament studies is to get this is your strength and that is not, and then use this and mitigate yourself against that.

C Working to Come up a Clear Final Goal and Ways o Attain It

I have to yet come up with a clear final goal for C to pursue with all his heart and mind. As such C can neither employ techniques nor allocate resources for an end, because he has non, save random goals chosen at the spur of the moment.


The reason is he became busy with production of large quantity of non-quality work.

The solution to this problem is Pareto principle or 80-20 rule, which states 80% of desired results comes from 20% of activities or causes.

So, 80% of the work C does produces 20% of the results he desires. In fact it produces 2% or less of the results he desires. So, he has to take sometime and identify the kind of work that will allow him to produce the desired result, 80-99% of the time. This work is expected to be 1-20% of the activities that he will engage on daily basis, according to the rule stated.

So, if his work day Is 10 hours, then the work that produces the desired result, $1500 per month, will be two hours. Initially, however, the 8 hours or large junk of it may be spent on creating causes and conditions that will help C get the work done.

To stretch the rule a little bit, C will work 1 to 12 minutes per hour, that is 1-20% of the hour.

Now what will C do in the interim? C will meditate or do other necessary things until it becomes a habit to work two hours per day, five days a week, to produce a monthly income of $1500.

Work time available for C may not be 10 hours per per day, five days a week; however, whatever time available, 80% of it aims to support 20% of the work to be done in view of the stated goal.

C also understands himself better when he is explaining to his friends, the causes of a particular outcome, the more desirable the outcome, the better. It is for this reason why he thinks that he may be extroverted. Or perhaps this is the reason why he likes acting or the stage in general. He makes his best judgment too when he is on the 'stage' and not when he is alone in his head. The stage evokes his best, that is why he likes to put himself there, sometimes he does that in his imagination, being in the stage explaining something to many. He also thinks that he is a final end, or final cause, or explanatory principle, that is why he likes to explain how a particular outcome came about. He likes to do an explanatory work.

C also does his best work when he has timed definite goal to reach. So, he fixes such system for himself to work.

C also noted that he does his best work when he thinks or rather reflects on his feelings on the subject. It is as if his emotions are messengers carrying information needed to acquire stated money, provided they are reflected upon.

Given an end, in which C explained how it came about, C then likes to do those activities that explain the occurrence of the desired outcome.

This kind of approach gives C plenty of time to do a quality work and also enough time for relaxation, a phenomena linked to creativity.

How C Managed to Earn a Living Through Doing what he is Most Suited to Do

C has learned that be needs four things to earn a living, $1500 per month, out of doing what he is most suited to do well.


First, long time vision, or mission and a statement that defines his mission, this is part of his final end or goal in life m.

Second, written strategic plan or longer term plan that tells him how to attain the final end. Generally,experts say have 3-6 month plan to attain an end, this is your, this is your strategy.

Third, how to implement the long term plan now, this minute, hour, day or a week. This is tactics. Weekly plans and their implementations are form of tactics.

Fourth, allocating provisions, both material and non- material, to attain the final end.
