I have noted, today, a reluctance to do what was proper to the occasion several times, and general tendency to do what is not proper to the occasion.
The obvious solution is just do it, as the saying goes, done.
Primary work for every one, I suppose, performance of what is proper to that occasion, each to his or her best knowledge, and non-performance of what is not.
We know things better after they happen, then before they happen. This is what is known as hindsight.
